Answer the questions below in response to the video. 1. What did Matilda's Dad think when he found her in her bedroom reading books? How do you know he thought this - include evidence. 2. After watching this clip, what do you learn about Matilda's relationship with her family? Today we are started to up-level and edit our stories in the style of a comic. In order to do this we learnt about onomatopoeia. Watch the video below to remind yourself what it is. Read the two chapters and underline key sections describing Mr and Mrs Wormwood then answer the questions below. 1. What descriptive words and phrases are used to describe Mr Wormwood? 2. What descriptive words and phrases are used to describe Mrs Wormwood? 3. Look at the illustrations below from Roald Dahl's book. Do you think they match his descriptions? Why? 4. While Traction Man was stuck in the bin Chatty Chair got busy doing what he would do best...Chatting! Meanwhile Traction Man slowly creeps out of the bin over the sloppy cake, dirty,rotting apple and a smelly hot dog. Swiftly, Traction Man ran as fast as the wind out of the gigantic hall, just in time for home.
